If you have read Choosing An Edition: The Chimes Guide, you will already know about facsimile editions at Chimes (and urtext editions too!).

Publishing houses for Facsimile Editions include Barenreiter & Insel Verlag.

Whilst Urtext editions are published on a reasonably regular basis, facsimiles are published less frequently. Sadly, Facsimile Editions are not kept in stock regularly at Chimes, but if you are interested and would like to see examples of any of the publications described here please do come and visit one of our shops in London: Barbican or Kensington. Invariably, both shops will have a copy of the charming (pocket-sized and reasonably priced!) Insel Verlag facsimile of Bach's 3 Sonatas and Partitas for Violin Solo. Alternatively, we also stock the Breitkopf edition of Bach Organ works, available as separate volumes e.g. Bach Complete Organ Works Volume 1 or as a 10 volume Complete Set.
