The original Chimes store is located 2 minutes' walk from South Kensington underground station. We are fortunate to be located in the heart of London's celebrated museum district, close to the Royal College of Music and the Royal Albert Hall. 

Kensington has the largest selection of sheet music out of the two shops and also offers downloaded sheet music in PDF format via our digital page. In addition the shop stocks a good selection of instruments ranging from electronic pianos to ocarinas, guitars and ukuleles, as well as a selection of books and accessories.  Our established mail order service can get your music to you, wherever you are. As one of the few remaining independent music retailers, we pride ourselves in being able to offer a personal, efficient and knowledgeable service to our customers.

We pride ourselves on our staff having expertise and knowledge (something that the faceless internet retailers can't do) and can help you in person or over the phone. Our staff are all qualified musicians, ranging from pianists and composers, to singers, woodwind and brass players! We are open 7 days a week and on any given day,  you'll always be able to find one of our staff who can assist with whatever you may need. Our staff can change strings, research editions of music and impart their valuable knowledge to our customers!
