Candidates perform three sets of pieces, one from each group, using the listed publications. All bowing indications as marked and a full range of dynamics should be displayed. Dynamics are expected in the slow tunes and may be appropriate at the quicker tempos. Ornamentation as written with additional acciaccaturas should be performed. A minimum of three position changes or as required should be incorporated into the programme. All should be clearly marked on the examiner’s copy. Contemporary set items are listed from slow to fast tempo, but may be performed in any order. An own composition may be played instead of one listed set.
