My First Theory Book

My First Theory Book is the first workbook in a series of three, designed to offer a smooth transition to Grade 1 Theory. It bridges the gap between the basics to the standard of moving through the early levels of playing an instrument, with lots of games and exercises.

There are plenty of exercises and games to encourage a wider understanding of music, even at the very early stages of learning. Included within this first book are exercises in writing treble and bass clefs, note names and counting, time signatures, the piano keyboard, writing notes in treble clef, writing notes in bass clef, rests, accidentals, stem positions, time signatures, completing bars with missing notes, completing bars with missing rand games.
