This Bärenreiter Urtext edition of Ravel's landmark work caused quite a stir when anonymously premiered in Paris in 1911 with some listeners wrongly attributing the work to Satie or Kodály. This edition has been edited by Nicolas Southon and features fingerings and performance notes by French pianist Alexandre Tharaud.
