Additional Resources Scales
Material on this pages highlights publications suitable for teaching and learning at all levels.
Scales (and arpeggios) are the foundation of building not just a strong technical skills base but also pitch and interval awareness and familiarity with the different keys together with their related patterns, and the control of the instruments' tone. The additional resources for scales support the development of foundation skills which are crucial in building confidence and security in sight-reading and therefore learning new pieces and performing as an instrumentalist alone or as part of an ensemble.
