Oskar Böhme was Born February 24, 1870 in Potschappel near Dresden. After his Musical Training, he emigrated to St. Petersburg in 1897. He became a Russian citizen and took a Job at the St. Pertersburg Opera. During World War II Böhme was deported and died between 1938 and 1941, probably in a Labor camp in Turkmenistan.
