36 Melodious and Easy Studies op. 84

Charles Dancla (1817-1907) is regarded to be the last great representative of the French Violin School. He particularly knew how to put into practice the principle 'no music without technique, no technique without music' in his training material. This is the case in his easy melodic studies. These studies are ideal for both young beginners after the second year as well as adult players. Most of them can be effectively used as small performance pieces, providing an excellent foundation for every advanced étude or concert piece. Each study is goes before new or revised exercises.

This volume is on the ABRSM Bowed Strings Syllabus 2019-2023 and is one of the alternative pieces on the syllabus.
