An Irish Blessing, an arrangement of a much-loved Gaelic blessing for upper voice choir, has a gentle, lilting melody which unfolds slowly, beginning in Unison Voices and building to a fuller choral texture with a descant by the third verse.

An optional flute part can be added which adds a folk-like quality and, in addition to the wide dynamic range indicated, further textural variety can be achieved with opportunities for a soloist or small group of singers. It would equally suit a wedding, a church service, any leaving celebration or a concert programme.
