Confutatis Maledictis & Kyrie Eleison (from 'Perpetual Light'), music by Jessica Curry. Arranged for unaccompanied SATB voices with solo soprano tenor line in digital sheet music format.

First performed at Old Vic Tunnels, London in June 2011 by Londinium. Perpetual Light was written to commemorate those who lost their lives in the nuclear attacks on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. It is also a testament to humankinds’ extraordinary will to survive.

The Cenotaph at the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park holds the names of all the people killed by the bomb. The arch shape represents a shelter for the souls of the victims. The monument also carries the epitaph: “Let all souls here rest in peace, for we shall not repeat the evil.”

Confutatis Maledictis & Kyrie Eleison is recorded by London Voices, conducted by Ben Parry
