Georg Kröll began in 1987 with his Diary for Piano and set himself the task of making the 12-tone row from Schoenberg’s Suite forPiano, Op. 25, the basis for a large-scale cycle and to explore the compositional possibilities of this series in a variety of ways. First published in 1999 and awarded the German Music Edition Prize, the Diary has now been completed after 40 years with the addition of eight new pieces (2026). An exceptionally versatile and colorful work that has accompanied the composer for over 40 years. The pieces can also be performed individually or as a selection.
