Description

Jump for Joy is a cheerful tune featuring an amusing dialogue between the two alto saxophones, which is then followed by a groovy walking bass solo performed by the baritone sax. This is the perfect piece for concluding a concert: It really puts the audience in high spirits and accompanies them back home even after the final note has been played. The composition is based on a warm-up lick devised by Valentin F., one of my students, whom I would like to extend my hearty thanks to. The song is dedicated to my son Ruben and my daughter Katherina.
