This Concerto in D major K.2 271a, the 6th Mozart violin concerto, is of doubtful authenticity but has come from two separate sources:

  • a French set of parts and score copy
  • a Berlin score

Many musicologists feel that the work has numerous Mozartian attributes, nevertheless, the editorial board of the New Mozart Edition does not consider this concerto to be authentic.
