Music, when soft voices die is taken from the collection, Seven Partsongs Composer Hubert Parry. Although best-known for sacred works, Parry, along with Stanford and Elgar, made a substanital contribution to the secular partsong genre in England around the turn of the twentieth century. He composed 45 or so in all, and this collection presents a selection of soem of the most distinguished.
