Description

This short piece for four-part mixed choir was composed by Krzysztof Penderecki in 2015 on the text of a well-known Polish Christmas carol. The traditional text is about common shepherds travelling together with musicians by horse and cart through the snowy landscape in winter's cold while playing their various instruments. The company's pleasant anticipation of Christmas is audible in the musical text, as are the simple instruments of the shepherds.
