First edition of an early virtuoso and expressive work (1913) by Joseph Haas. In the first section of this chorale setting Haas puts the cantus firmus in the pedal part, in counterpoint with a sighing motif in chords played by the upper parts. In the second section a rhythmical ostinato bass in the pedal is set against the c.f. in the soprano line.
