for SA, SATB, and percussion. This energetic piece draws its thematic material from two Malaysian proverbs about restoration, renewal, and growth. The music, which draws from Malay folk traditions, is bold, energetic, and captivating, and Wong employs body percussion and innovative techniques such as vocables emulating the tone of the gamelan to create an enthralling soundscape. The scoring provides an opportunity for a mixed- and upper-voice choir to unite in performance, or the additional SA parts could be taken by a semi-chorus from the SATB choir. A pronunciation guide is provided within the octavo, and an audio guide is available through a companion website.
