Serenade in C K648 'Ganz kleine Nachtmusik' was first published in November 2024.
The new Urtext edition features critical commentary and a preface providing historical insight with contributions from Dr. Ulrich Leisinger, Academic Director of the International Mozarteum Foundation in Salzburg.
The Serenade in C K648 believed to have been written in the 1760s while Mozart was a teenager, is a seven-movement work, scored for two violins and 'basso' (cello).
Light and characterful in style, and approximately 12 minutes in duration, the Serenade 'Ganz kleine Nachtmusik' perfectly complements its more famous counterpart, K525 'Eine Kleine Nachtmusik' (A Little Night Music).
