In addition to numerous works for the orchestra, Heinz Pauels also wrote several chamber music works, including the String Sextet in F sharp minor op. 7, which appears here for the first time. The free tonality and unusual rhythms in this fifteen-part work make it an exciting new addition to the string sextet repertoire of the 20th century.
