Pierre Max Dubois (1930 - 1995) was a respected French composer known for his many compositions for woodwinds, especially the saxophone. He was a student of Darius Milhaud and he brought the ideas of Les Six, of which Milhaud was a member, into the mid-1900s. This suite for clarinet, violin and piano consists of four movements: Prelude, Boite a Musique, Chanson pour Nathalie and Serenade.
