The composer whose 100th birthday was celebrated in 2007 is known especially as an outstanding composition teacher at the Munich Musikhochschule. Among his students were Peter Michael Hamel, Wilfried Hiller or Gerd Zacher, among others. With these editions, two of his sacred a-cappella works are made available in different levels of diffculty: the German motet 'Hosianna' for Advent or Lent, and 'Tenebrae factae sunt' for Passiontide in the much-demanded instrumentation for mixed choir with only one male voice.
