Chimes stock covers a wide range of publications from major publishers (e.g. Henle, Barenreiter, Wiener Urtext, OUP, Hal Leonard) as well as publications from each of the examination boards. Additionally, Chimes stocks publications from many of the smaller publishers.

As one of the few remaining independent music retailers, we pride ourselves in being able to offer a personal, efficient and knowledgeable service to our customers. Our Staff
The key to our specialist service is our staff, who are qualified musicians. Yes, they too have forgotten or lost their part just before a rehearsal (or a concert or exam!), snapped a string and didn’t have a spare, only have the money for a single reed (not a box) and have years of experience and knowledge of others doing so too!

Photocopies & downloads
Candidates should not perform from unauthorised photocopies (or other kinds of copies) or illegal downloads of copyright music in examinations. There are limited circumstances where can copies be used in an examination the UK. The MPA’s Code of Fair Practice gives further guidance. Before making a copy an application should be made to the copyright holder and evidence of permission should be brought to the exam. Candidates and Applicants must act within the law with regard to copyright.
