This wonderfully melodic setting of the canticles - coloured by delicious jazz harmonies - was written by Wayne Marshall, the celebrated international organ virtuoso, in 1982 for the choristers of St George's Chapel, Windsor, where he was organ scholar. As those choirs who have already come across this piece will testify, it is a work well worth discovering. The Magnificat is arranged for SSA choir with piano accompaniment.
